Australian female athlete makes history in Tokyo Olympics

TOKYO: Tokyo Olympics are underway, and an Australian athlete is making history.

According to the reports, Australian female swimmer Emma McQueen made history by winning seven consecutive medals at the Tokyo Olympics, becoming the second most successful female Olympic athlete in the history of the Australian Women’s Swimming Olympics.

Maria, a Russian gymnast, had won seven medals in 1952 before Emma McQueen.

Emma McQueen holds the record for the most Olympic medals won by an Australian, as well as the record for the most gold medals won by an Australian at an Olympic Games.

On the other hand, China’s position on the medal table is getting stronger with its athletes winning 5 more gold medals and maintaining the first position with 32 gold medals, while the United States is in second place with 24 gold medals, Japan with 19 gold medals. Brahman is at number three, followed by Australia at number four.
