The proposal has been presented after several high-profile cases of children taking their own lives over online bullying and/or complaints from parents about children feeling pressure, came to light. According to CNN, parents and campaigners in favor of the prohibition have lauded the bill as a “long-overdue measure”.
On the other hand, critics have argued the ban will only restrict children’s’ access to support groups and create greater risks.
