Baaghi TV confirms TLP leader Saad Hussain Rizvi taken into police custody

Lahore, 12th April: Pakistan government has arrested Saad Hussain Rizvi, head of the Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP) Pakistan.

According to Baaghi TV’s reports, TLP head and Khadim Hussain Rizvi’s son Saad Hussain Rizvi has been taken into custody on Monday, however, the Lahore police have not yet confirmed the arrest.

Condemning the arrest, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan spokesman said those good government tactics could not dampen our spirits and there would be a long march.

According to spokesman Saad Rizvi was returning home after a funeral prayer in Lahore on Monday when police took him into custody.

According to a Lahore police spokesman, “We have not yet been able to confirm that any such arrest has taken place in Lahore.” If such a case occurs, the media will be informed.

Meanwhile, Baaghi TV has received video footage showing the arrest of a TLP leader. In the video received, it can be seen that Hafiz Saad Rizvi has been seated on the front seat in a police mobile van.

To confirm this claim on social media, Baaghi TV contacted the TLP spokesperson, who confirmed that Saad Rizvi has been arrested. He said Saad Rizvi was going to attend the funeral from where the police took him into custody.

One of the main leaders of Tehreek-e-Labbaik confirmed in a telephone conversation with Baaghi TV’s correspondent Faiz Chughtai that Hafiz Saad Rizvi has been arrested and we are working out a plan of action for the future.

It may be recalled that earlier Saad Rizvi had announced that the government had deviated from the promises made to the French ambassador that Pakistan would reconsider its relations with France.

He also called for a march to Islamabad on April 20. On the other hand, the leaders of Tehreek-e-Labbaik have directed the workers across the country to jam the wheel.
