Bagum Kott police reluctant to lodge FIR against those who torture, strip woman naked

Lahore: Bagum Kott police refused to lodge FIR against the accused who have reportedly tortured and forcefully made a young woman naked, the victim, a widow and mother of two young children told Baaghi TV on Monday.
The women, whose name is Kishwar, said that she went to maintain her parents sepulchres on ninth of the Muharram-ul- Harram when five men tortured her stripped her naked to the full in front of the people and went away with her Shalwar.
She said that the passerbys who were making the footage and tried to cover her body also have to face the wrath of the accused party as they opened fire on them.
She said that two of the passerbys are also seriously injured.
She said that she and her family has approached the Bagum Kott police many times but the officer concerned has not lodged FIR instead he is siding with the accused persons as they are the influential in the area.
She said that all the accused are recordholders and do not enjoy good reputation in the area.

“I had better they would have killed me. I can not bear the insult”, she said weeping.

She appealed the IG Punjab, CCOP DIG to order the concerned police officials to register her FIR and bring the the responsibles to the books.
