Bahraini Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa passes away

Bahraini Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman al Khalifa has died, the royal palace announced on Wednesday on Twitter.

According to the details, Bahrain Royal Court mourns His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, died this morning in a hospital Mayo Clinic, United States of America (USA).

The burial ceremony will take place after the arrival of his body, and it will be limited to a specific number of relatives due to the coronavirus pandemic, informed the royal palace.

The deceased prime minister ordered the announcement of official mourning for a week with flags at half-mast and the suspension of work in government departments for a period of three days, starting from tomorrow, Thursday.
