Balochistan Chief Minister tests positive for Covid-19

A spokesman for the Chief Minister (CM)’s Secretariat has confirmed the news of the Balochistan CM testing positive for Covid-19. According to reports, the CM has isolated himself at home after the test.

According to the spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, the Chief Minister is in good health but is showing symptoms of the coronavirus. Doctors have advised the Chief Minister to rest completely, the Chief Minister will continue online meetings to perform important government affairs.

Another 43 people have died in Pakistan from the global coronavirus. According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 41,744 corona tests were performed across the country in the last 24 hours. Another 1,232 corona cases were reported.

According to the NCOC, in the last 24 hours, the total number of corona cases across the country has risen to 153,873 while the total number of deaths has risen to 30,096 and the positive case rate has been 2.95%.

The number of cases of Corona in Sindh is 565,319, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is 215,337, in Punjab is 499,768, in Islamabad (ICT) is 133,988, in Balochistan is 35,294, in Azad Kashmir (AJK) is 42,754 and in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) it is 11,413.

The highest number of deaths due to corona is in Punjab where 13,471 people have lost their lives. While 8,045 people have lost their lives in Sindh, 6,226 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,007 in Islamabad, 189 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 374 in Balochistan, and 784 in Azad Kashmir.
