Bangladeshi Ambassador to UAE pays courtesy call on Ambassador of Pakistan

The newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates,  Tareq Ahmed on Thursday paid a courtesy call on Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi here at the Pakistan House.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including cooperation in trade and investment, efforts to increase people-to-people contact and resumption of direct flights from Islamabad and Karachi to Dhaka, were discussed.
Both sides underscored the importance of supporting the welfare of the large Pakistani and Bangladeshi diaspora in the UAE.
Ambassador Tirmizi highlighted the deep historical and cultural ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh. He underscored that the immense untapped trade potential between Pakistan and Bangladesh could contribute to the economic growth of both nations.
Ambassador Tareq reaffirmed Bangladesh’s commitment to strengthening relations with Pakistan. He emphasized the need for continued dialogue and cooperation to address shared challenges and achieve common objectives in the region.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both ambassadors affirming their shared vision for regional peace, prosperity, and enhanced bilateral engagement.
