BBC News Proves Propaganda Against Pakistan a Lie

International media agency BBC has dispelled lies and baseless propaganda against Pakistan by India wherein Indian media claimed that Pakistan was attacking Afghanistan by using some false clips.

According to details, Indian media reported that Pakistan’s F-16 plane and Pakistani drones were used in Panjshir, Afghanistan, claiming that a Panjshir resistance group had shot down the plane. As supposed proof, a number of clips and pictures surfaced.

Upon analysis of those clips and pictures, however, BBC news showcased that these reports were entirely false. One of the clips showed a plane flying over some land, the false narrative around which was dispelled by social media users – including the UK Defence Journal itself. The actual source of the clip was an American F-15 plane flying in Wales.

One of the other videos that the Indian media used turned out to be a clipping from a video game called ARMA 3, which they claimed was actually Pakistan attacking Panjshir. This clip was used by some of the biggest Indian news agencies such as Republic, Times Now, and India Today.

It is to be noted that this clip was used in the past too, for much similar reasons.

Finally, a picture floating around, in which a young girl was sitting next to a machine gun which Indian media, was claimed to be from Afghanistan by Indian media. The truth around that picture is that it’s from Balochistan, the video of which has been on YouTube for a year.

Incidents like these showcase how dangerous misinformation is and how easy it is to spread fake news.
