Big Raise in Petroleum Prices
A heavy burden has been loaded on the nation already challenged by the economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to sources the proposal is to raise petrol prices by Rs 25.58 and hi-speed diesel price by Rs 21.31. The price of kerosene oil is recommended to be raised by Rs 23.50 and Rs 17.84 is proposed for light diesel.
Sources say that the new rates might get applicable by today midnight instead of 1st July.
The new price of petrol is said to be Rs 100.10, diesel Rs 101.46, kerosene oil Rs 59, and light diesel Rs 55.98
It should be noted that there was a global dip in petrol prices due to reduced demand caused by the corona pandemic which is why Pakistan had also lowered its prices.
