BJP is spreading hatred in India by controlling Facebook and WhatsApp: Rahul Gandhi

According to a report by Baaghi TV, Rahul Gandhi, the leader of India’s opposition party Congress, said that the BJP and the RSS control Facebook and WhatsApp in India and spread fake news and hatred through it.
Rahul Gandhi said that BJP and RSS also use social media to impress the voters.
The Congress, citing an article in a popular US newspaper, accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party of using social media like Facebook and WhatsApp to spread hatred in the country and work on a political agenda.
Congress spokesman Ajay Maken also described the situation at a press conference as “serious” and said “strict action should be taken against the Facebook officials who conspired to divide the country by investigating the matter.” According to the article, Indian officials of Facebook are involved in this crime and they should be identified and prosecuted.
The Congress spokesman said in an article published on the front page of the Wall Street Journal that the BJP was using social media to its advantage to gain political advantage by creating an atmosphere of hatred in the country.
The Facebook Watch team identified four officers involved and recommended their removal, but a senior Indian official at Facebook refused to remove them, saying it would affect the company’s work.

The spokesperson questioned the purpose for which these Facebook and WhatsApp-linked officers had worked to benefit the BJP in the elections by helping to spread hatred and incite riots. It should be investigated what is the relationship of these Facebook officers with the BJP? All the facts should be brought to light.
According to the American newspaper, for fear of economic deficit, Facebook officials refused to remove hateful messages from Indian politicians and extremist Hindus against Muslims from social media websites.
The American newspaper quoted Facebook employees as saying that Ankhi Das, a senior Facebook public policy official in India, had taken action against anti-Muslim provocative messages from ruling party BJP politician T Raja Singh and other Hindu leaders. He had said that action against BJP politicians would affect the company’s business in India.
According to the report, Facebook executive Ankhi Das is not only a BJP supporter but has also written articles praising Narendra Modi, saying that taking action against BJP leaders could harm the company’s business.
