In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference has urged the people to observe October 27 as Black Day to denounce India’s forcible and illegal occupation of the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, call for observance of the day has been given through posters displayed on walls, poles, and public spaces in Srinagar and other districts.
October 27, marks the day when India militarily invaded Jammu and Kashmir against the will of its people on this day in 1947.
The posters also condemn India’s ongoing demographic engineering through non-local domiciles, termination of Muslim employees, and the distortion of the educational curriculum to dilute Kashmir’s Islamic and cultural identity.
They further warn that the spread of Hindu symbols and statues is part of a deliberate attempt to alter the territory’s historical and religious character.
Meanwhile, a three-story madrassa was gutted in a mysterious blaze in Pulwama district today.
Local residents and rights activists suspect foul play, linking the incident to the BJP-RSS regime’s wider campaign to undermine Islamic institutions in the occupied territory.
