Bollywood pays tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput on his 1st death anniversary #Baaghi

Lahore, 14th June: It has been a year since Bollywood’s young actor Sushant Singh Rajput left the world, but his memories are still fresh in the hearts of his friends, family and fans.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. Earlier investigations revealed that Rajput committed suicide, however, later three big Indian agencies including NCB, ED and CBI got involved in the investigations.

Many allegations have been made so far and several big names of Bollywood were found involved, yet his case remains a mystery to date.

Today marks his first death anniversary and many celebrities have shared emotional posts on their social media.

Rajput’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty who was probed in relation to his death, wrote a long and emotional tribute calling him her ‘guardian angel’.

She posted: “There isn’t a moment where I believe that you aren’t here anymore. They said that time heals everything but you were my time and my everything. I know that you are my guardian angel now -watching me with your telescope from the moon and protecting me.”

Soon after Sushant’s death, the Bengali actress was investigated by the authorities and was in jail for over a month as one of the prime suspects during the investigations.

Bhumi Pednekar also shared a heartfelt note for her colleague with a mischievous picture of the late star. Rajput and Pednekar worked together in the critically acclaimed movie ‘Sonchiriya’. She wrote on social media, “Miss you, your questions and everything we spoke about. From the stars to the things unknown, you showed me the world as I had never seen it before. I hope you’ve found your peace my curious sweet SSR…Om Shanti.”

Sushant Singh Rajput was introduced into the world of films by director Abhishek Kapoor through his film ‘Kai Po Che’ in 2013. They also worked together again in ‘Kedarnath’ in 2018. The director who gave him his first movie break wrote, “1yr today.. still numb🙏 #omnamahshivaya #sushantsinghrajput #superstar forever.”

Rajput’s former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande had put up a collage of pictures of the two having a great time together. She wrote, “This was our journey !!!! We will meet again,” along with an emoji of a broken heart.

Sara Ali Khan, Sushant’s co-star of the movie Kedarnath, also paid a rich tribute on her Instagram account, she wrote, “Whenever I needed help, advice or a laugh you were always there. You introduced me to the world of acting, made me believe that dreams could come true, and gave me all that I have today. Still can’t believe you’re gone. But every time I look at the stars, the rising sun or the moon I know you’re here.”

Sushant was not just an actor but was also an entrepreneur, science buff, amateur astronomer, and astrophysics enthusiast.

Sushant proved his mettle in films including Kai Po Che, Shuddh Desi Romance, Detective Byomkesh Bakshi, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kedarnath and Chhichhore in his seven-year-old career.
