According to the report of Baaghi TV, the 30th meeting of the provincial cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
The meeting approved the budget proposals for the new financial year 2020-21.
The cabinet meeting will unanimously approve the budget proposals of Punjab province for the new financial year 2020-21. The financial bill 2020 was also approved. The supplementary budget for the financial year 2019-20 was approved in the meeting. Revised budget estimates were also approved.
The ban on using the development funds of South Punjab for any other project or city will remain in place. The Cabinet also approved coring fencing of development funds of all the three divisions of South Punjab in the new financial year.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar paid homage to the performance of Provincial Finance Minister Hashim Javan Bakht, Advisor Dr. Salman Shah, Chief Secretary, Chairman Planning and Development, Secretary Finance and officers of relevant departments in preparing the budget for the new financial year.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that the entire team completed the difficult phase of preparation of the budget with utmost diligence. Measures have been suggested to provide relief to the common man. In this context, it is a very balanced and people-friendly budget.
Realistic goals have been set in the budget. Priorities have been set keeping in view the basic needs of the people of the province. This budget is not a statistical magic but a real document of balanced development.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar further said that the job of the opposition was just to make noise. #UThe opposition only wailed during the Corona epidemic and left the people alone. Members of the Assembly will be in constant touch during the budget session.
The decisions of the 29th meeting of the Punjab Cabinet were ratified in the meeting. The decisions of the 32nd, 33rd and 34th meetings of the Cabinet Standing Committee on Finance and Development were ratified in the meeting. The meeting ratified the decisions of the 23rd, 24th and 25th meetings of the Cabinet Standing Committee on Legislative Business.
