CAA Mismanagement Exposed At Lahore Airport – Videos Emerge As Omicron Threat Looms
Amid growing concern over the new Omicron variant, hundreds of people without following the Covid-19 SOPs are waiting to get their loved ones at the International Arrival Terminal at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP).
According to the details, images showing teeming crowds and chaotic scenes at Lahore Airport have been going viral on social media as new travel regulations came into force in response to the Omicron variant of coronavirus.
Baaghi TV has learnt through reliable sources that airport management and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) have failed to handle such situations intelligently and efficiently. The airport authorities have been unsuccessful to enforce social distancing as people squeezed shoulder-to-shoulder to receive their family and friends at AIIAP.
There is a dire need to handle such situations rationally to curb the spread of Omicron and saving the lives of all those, including foreigners, arriving at the airport. And it’s not a rocket science as there are many solutions to handle much bigger crowds than airport gatherings but authorities having a decision-making power like CAA have to take interest in it.

CAA Reeks of Nepotism and Mismanagement
A passenger traveling to Lahore on Emirates EK-624 from Dubai on condition of anonymity told Baaghi TV that the airport medical staff is not conducting Covid-19 tests of passengers who are traveling on Business/First-Class tickets.
Are First-Class passengers immune to the Omicron variant or are those passengers non-human? Knowing the highly transmissible nature of the new Covid-19 variant, what is the CAA up to?
Nepotism, corruption and mismanagement continues to engulf the Civil Aviation Authority. Many believe that favouritism and nepotism has ruined the performance of the authority risking lives of hundreds of thousands of passengers. The only criteria for appointment or promotion in the CAA is to have sufficient strings to pull, or a close relative/friend in authority. It is high time for the Government of Pakistan and aviation authorities to take stern action against those responsible to avoid any further damage.
