CAA Delaying Licensing Process, Risking Future of Pilots

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Pakistan, in its recent notification, has banned the provision of food to passengers while traveling on domestic flights due to surge in COVID-19 cases.

According to the notification, the ban was imposed due to the growing number of coronavirus cases in the country, however, the pre-existing air travel policies will continue to apply.

According to the CAA, all concerned stakeholders will be required to strictly enforce the coronavirus SOPs. Moreover, airlines have been allowed to offer packaged food to passengers since July 21, 2021.

Earlier, the Civil Aviation Authority said in a statement that all airline operators should provide packaged food services to passengers.

According to the new notification, the mandatory vaccination policy for domestic air travel will remain in force. All airline operators have been instructed to ensure strict implementation of the new rule.
