ISLAMABAD: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has banned the VIP culture at airports for influential people due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In view of the global epidemic of coronavirus, the CAA has issued new guidelines, according to which the ban will also apply to passengers and crew of chartered and private aircraft domestically.

According to the guidelines, no one other than the passenger and staff should be allowed to go beyond the parking lot while the airport manager should ensure social distance. Moreover, antiseptic sprays, masks, gloves and protective suits must be used on board before boarding.

Partial domestic flight operations will continue till August 31: CAA

According to the guidelines, it will be the responsibility of the airline to fill up the health forms of the passengers before boarding, while it will be the responsibility of the health department to inspect the passengers.

There will be a complete ban on food on board, while passengers will be provided with a sanitizer every 30 minutes during the flight. On the other hand, for medical emergencies, a row must be left in the plane and passengers must be seated from a distance of one seat, while the passengers’ luggage must be sprayed with disinfectant.
