Canada assures Pakistan justice will be delivered for murder of Pakistani family in hate attack

ISLAMABAD June 10, 2021: The Canadian Foreign Minister has assured Shah Mehmood Qureshi of stern legal action against those responsible for the murder of a Pakistani family and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
According to details, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi telephoned his Canadian counterpart Mark Garnier to discuss the tragic incident involving a family of Pakistani origin in Canada, including the loss of four innocent lives and the growing trend of Islamophobia.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he was deeply saddened over the tragic incident of killing of 4 persons in Canada. Targeting a family simply as a Muslim is a clear example of Islamophobia. The international community must take steps to address the negative trend of Islamophobia.
The Foreign Minister said that he ascribes great value to Justin Trudeau’s response to the incident and that the the Canadian authorities were treating the matter with grave concern. He said there is deep concern over the growing trend of Islamophobia in the western countries, Imran Khan and I are trying to draw the attention of the international community.
