Case filed against journalist for reporting serious disorder at the Quarantine Center
The administration of Sitamarhi district in the Indian state of Bihar has registered an FIR against a journalist, Gulshan Kumar Mitho, at the local police station, alleging that Gulshan Kumar published news in his newspaper quoting the Quarantine Center, and exposing that there is no proper care for Corona patients.
At the same time, it is being reported that he provoked the patients to post a picture in his newspaper. Which has created a problem of law and order in the Indian state, and patients have reportedly, chanted slogans against the government. In the FIR, two unidentified accomplices of Gulshan Kumar have also been held responsible for the incident and a case has been registered against them.
It is to be noted that Gulshan Kumar had written in his news about the quarantine center set up in the high school of Balagipur village of Sitamarhi that the majority of the patients there are working class people who are not being given proper food for approximately the last 8 days. All patients are filling their stomachs by eating dried gram, he had mentioned.
While the center has 200 workers, there are only 100 patients. In addition, there are only 8 toilets for these 200 labor patients who have been cleaning for several days.
