According to sources, Tholasendrapuram, a small village in southern India, about b,000 miles away from the US White House, is the hometown of newly elected US Vice President Kamala Harris, where her ancestors lived earlier.
When the villagers received the news that the girl from their village had become the Vice President of the United States, they were overjoyed and celebrated.
On the other hand, there are reports that Kamala Harris has expressed her happiness and wished that she would try to reassure the people of her native village and thank them.
