Central leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) passes away

Lahore, 2nd May: Central leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) has passed away.

According to reports, a senior leader of JUI-F Hafiz Abu Bakar Sheikh passed away on Sunday at Mayo Hospital Lahore.

Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and other scholars, political, social and personalities have expressed deep sorrow over his death.

Hafiz Abu Bakar Sheikh had been undergoing treatment for three days due to injuries sustained in the road accident.

According to family sources, his body will be picked up from Diamond Wedding Hall near Sanda at 2 pm.

On the death of a long time colleague of the party, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Hafiz Abu Bakar Sheikh was a long time ideological activist of JUI. He was my friend from the beginning who was associated with JUI in good times and bad.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that he has been training the workers for a long time in terms of ideology. His penmanship for Jamiat Ulema will always be remembered.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman added that in this hour of sorrow and grief, I express my condolences to his family and share his grief equally.
