CEO PIA Praises Captain Bajrani For Safely Bringing Back Passengers

The chief executive officer (CEO) of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) praises Captain Maqsood Bajrani for safely and efficiently bringing back the flight from Kabul, Afghanistan.

According to the details, Captain Maqsood Bajrani was the captain of PK-6252 which flew at Kabul Airport after the situation deteriorated. Captain Bajrani flew safely under adverse conditions.

“In a crisis situation, the use of understanding, experience and skills is a sign of real professionalism,” said Air Marshal Arshad Malik, CEO of the national flag carrier. “As soon as the situation in Kabul deteriorated, the captain contacted his management,” he added.

It is to be remembered that Captain Maqsood Bajrani, a PIA pilot, ensured the safety of the plane and its passengers by showing a present mind in a state of chaos. According to details, after the Afghan capital Kabul came under the control of the Afghan Taliban, Afghan citizens and foreigners immediately started leaving Afghanistan, causing traffic jams on the roads, runways and rush at the airport.

Due to the unrest at the airport, the PIA plane also got into trouble, but the captain’s presence of mind saved the lives of the passengers. Sources said that the PIA passenger plane Airbus A320 was was stuck at Hamid Karzai International Airport when Kabul was occupied by the Taliban on Sunday. The air traffic controller (ATC) staff told the captain that he is supposed to make his own decision depending on the ongoing situation at the airport.

The captain was a little shocked by the statement of the ATC staff but the CEO of the national airline advised the captain to control his nerves. Before the thousands of people at the airport could attack, pilot Maqsood Bajrani flew the plane without permission from the ATC and brought all the passengers safely to Pakistan.
