Chairman NAB takes notice on Shahbaz Sharif’s issues

LAHORE: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has taken notice of the issue related to Shahbaz Sharif’s food.

According to the details, Chairman NAB took notice of the news regarding the distribution of food to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif on the ground.

According to the NAB spokesperson, the chairman has ordered an immediate inquiry into the matter. Chairman NAB said that the self-esteem of the accused should be taken care of during detention and has instructed all the bureaus in this regard, he added.

It should be noted that Shahbaz Sharif had accused NAB of inhumane treatment during his appearance in the money laundering reference in the accountability court. Complaining to the judge, Shahbaz Sharif had said that he was being treated in an abusive manner in the jail.

Taking stern action on the complaint of Shahbaz Sharif, the judge of the accountability court said that he would not tolerate the humiliation of humanity. It may be recalled that on September 28, the Lahore High Court had rejected the interim bail of Shahbaz Sharif after which NAB officials arrested him.
