Chief Minister Punjab orders stricter implementation of SOPs

Baaghi TV has learnt that Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar has issued strict orders to combat the third wave of COVID-19 across Punjab.

According to reports, CM Punjab presided over a meeting via video link form Multan. During the course of the meeting, concerns regarding implementation of security measures was discussed. CM Buzdar expressed concern over the increase in cases and directed a stricter implementation of COVID-19 SOPs to curb the spread.

According to reports, CM Punjab iterated that the negligence to implement SOPs responsibly will not be tolerated. He added that administrative and security personnel along with cooperation of the citizens can help to control the situation. CM Punjab stressed that the use of mask be mandatory since the third wave is far more dangerous.

Moreover, 2,330 new cases and 43 deaths were reported in Punjab during the last 24-hours. Meanwhile, the mortality rate is at 6,188 deaths.
