Children’s Complex Multan Launches Heart Surgery Unit

First Lady of Pakistan Samina Arif Alvi has said that everyone should play their part in making Pakistan a true welfare state by ensuring they are contributing to the betterment of our society.

According to reports, the First Lady has stated that any work started in good faith gets to its destination and everyone in Pakistan needs to contribute to the betterment of society.

Children’s Complex Multan has recently achieved an important milestone by launching a children’s heart surgery unit for which the administration and NGO “Taaray Zameen Par” deserve the heartiest congratulations.

According to reports, First Lady Samina Arif Alvi expressed these views while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the children’s heart surgery unit at Children’s Complex Multan on Wednesday. She said that today was a happy day for her that she was witnessing this on God’s land. Fadia Kashif, CEO of NGO “Taaray Zameen Par” is doing great service for the welfare of humanity, she said.

She further stated that she wants to request the philanthropists who have made positive changes and services to society to start work on projects similar to what Fadia Kashif has done. “The children’s heart surgery unit at Children’s Complex Multan has my full support,” she said.

The First Lady further said that today is an important day in the history of Multan and now the people there will not have to visit Lahore or other cities for their childrens’ treatment. She said that the launch of any project requires the dedication and interest of dynamic personalities and the government should strongly encourage such individuals.

The women in our society should also participate actively in the development of the country, she stated. The government is also focusing on many social programs, some of which are The Awareness Program, Kamyab Jawan Program along with other projects. “Our women are talented and confident but they need a proper platform to have their potential acknowledged. The State Bank of Pakistan data shows that our women have very low rates of borrowing for business,” she said. “Whenever a work is started in good faith, the destination becomes easier and we should encourage all such people.”

Addressing the function on the occasion, NGO “Taaray Zameen Par” CEO Fadia Kashif said that today was an important day of her life because a dream of hers was being realized. She said that her institute was working with the government in other social programs with the government apart from just the health sector.

Dr. Waqar Rabbani, Head Children’s Complex multan said that the Children’s Complex was founded in 2002, and at that time only 12 doctors worked there. “Today hundreds of doctors are working here and it is a happy day for us that children’s heart disease surgery has been started here. I would also like to appeal to the philanthropists to participate in this welfare project,” he said.

Razia Sheikh, Dr. Muhammad Ali Bukhari, and Dr. Sohail Arshad also spoke on the occasion.
