Islamabad, 7th November: Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has been divided into two parts.

According to reports, the government has decided to divide the Civil Aviation Authority into two parts through an ordinance.

According to sources, the federal cabinet has approved the appointment of two directors-general (DGs) of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Sources said that two separate directors-general would be appointed for regulatory affairs and airports commercial operations.

On the other hand, Federal Secretary Aviation Division Hassan Nasir Jami has been extended for three more months as acting DG.

Sources said that despite 600 applications, no suitable candidate has been found for DG Civil Aviation so far.
