CM Punjab approves to launch underground water storage projects

LAHORE, July 30 (online): Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has given approval to start the underground water storage projects .

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said in  his statement that underground tanks will be built to store the water of the rain and the stored water will be used for horticulture.

He said that underground storage tanks has been made to store 1.4 million gallon of water through which rain water will be filtered and made drinkable whereas projects will also be started in big cities of Punjab.

He further said that from Larak colony to Gulshan e Ravi new sewerage lines will be laid. The  the estimated cost on project will be 14 billion rupees. We are working on surface water treatment plant in Lahore whereas the business plan of Wasa has also been prepared. New Pakistan housing programme project will be started soon.
