CM Punjab makes big announcement for rescue personnel

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has announced to give special allowance to the rescue personnel for performing their duties amid coronavirus from April 1.

According to the details, CM Punjab has approved to give coronavirus allowance to the rescue personnel and announced martyrdom package to the rescue employees who were martyred in the line of duty. The Punjab government has issued a notification in this regard.

Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that special allowance will be given to the rescue personnel performing their duties from April 1. Emergency service officers and personnel will be given equal remuneration.

According to the Punjab Chief Minister, rescue workers on duty will continue to get special allowance till the end of the epidemic. The heirs of martyred employees up to scale BPS-16 will be given Rs 4 million while the families of scale BPS-17 and above will be given Rs 8 million.

He said that the recommendations of the special committee for giving martyr package would be followed. He appreciated the services of rescue workers deployed on duty.

Sardar Usman Buzdar said that the release of the allowance would encourage hard working rescue workers, rescue workers stand by the institutions and the nation in difficult times.
