According to the report of Baaghi TV, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that every Muslim has a great emotional attachment to the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.). Love for the Prophet of Allah (S.A.W.) is an integral part of our faith, every Muslim knows this love first and foremost.
Talking to media in Lahore, Usman Buzdar said that the West should understand that a Muslim can sacrifice his life but cannot tolerate arrogance in the name of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.). Not long ago, in Norway, an unscrupulous cartoonist dared to speak out in the name of freedom of expression.
In Denmark and other countries, heinous acts were committed to hurt the feelings of Muslims. In France, students were shown blasphemous sketches in the name of freedom of expression. These are heartbreaking and vicious acts. The heinous acts committed in the name of freedom of expression are absolutely intolerable.
We strongly condemn such blasphemous sketches. We demand from the United Nations that the Holy Prophet should The Prophet (S.A.W.) and other Prophets should be banned from committing blasphemous acts. My heart is saddened by this heinous act.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar further said that if talking about Holocaust hurts anyone’s feelings or emotions, then the feelings and sentiments of 1.52 billion Muslims are being brutally hurt again and again. The OIC and other agencies should also react to this so that no miscreant dares to do it again.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar further said that in order to give a full response to this heinous act in France and the reprehensible statement of the French President, we have decided to celebrate the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal every year at the official level.
This week, various ceremonies will be held to express the glory of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.). A hearing will also be held in which eminent poets of the country will participate. The first International Conference of Ulema and Mashaikhs will be held in Punjab where internationally renowned Ulema and Mashaikhs will present papers.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar announced the launch of Rehmat-ul-Ulameen Scholarship in Punjab with an initial fund of Rs. 50 crore and said that Rs. 25 crore would be given to position holder students. Students will also be given Rehmat-ul-Ulameen Scholarships of Rs. 25 crore for further studies. Financial assistance will be provided for the fees and accommodation of these students.
Every year in Rabi-ul-Awal, the initial fund of Rs. 50 crore will be significantly increased. Rehmat-ul-Ulameen Chairs are being set up in universities for scholars under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education. Rehmat-ul-Ulameen Chairs will be established in the universities of the Divisional Headquarters of Punjab. Scholars will be given scholarships for research on the life of the Holy Prophet in the best institutions of the Islamic world.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar further said that every year in Rabi-ul-Awal there will be Naat competitions and eminent scholars and poets from all over the country will be invited. Eminent scholars and researchers from home and abroad will be invited. Speeches will be presented at the level of province, division, district, universities and boards. Speech competitions on Sirat-ul-Nabi will be conducted. The winning students will be given certificates and cash prizes. Calligraphers from all over the country will be invited for the calligraphy competition. The best calligraphers in the competition will be awarded certificates and cash prizes.
Short documentaries on the life of Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.) will be made. The best documentary will be aired on TV channels and social media with English and French subtitles. Certificates and cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of the competition. Naat recitation and Qawwali ceremonies will be organized at provincial, divisional and district level during the week of Rehmat-ul-Ulameen. This issue concerns the entire Muslim Ummah. Praising Rehmat-ul-Alamin (S.A.W.) is part of our faith. Rehmat-ul-Alamin Scholarship will be increased every year.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar further said that Shaan-e-Rehmat-ul-Ulameen will be celebrated every year with religious fervor, devotion and respect. The entire community will be mobilized. The Ministerial Committee will include Provincial Minister for Endowments Pir Syed Saeed Al Hassan Shah, Special Assistant for Information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan and others. A committee will also be formed at the secretariat level. The schedule of all the ceremonies will be released.
