CM Sindh confirms more COVID-19 cases in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister (CM), Syed Murad Ali Shah, has confirmed that 409 more cases of coronavirus have come to light in Karachi, the capital city of Sindh.

Regarding the current situation of coronavirus, CM Sindh issued an important statement in which he provided other information including tests and positive cases during the last 24 hours.

The CM Sindh said that 409 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Karachi during the last 24 hours, out of which 137 each are from Southern and Eastern districts, 42 from Central District, 30 from Malir District, 54 from Korangi and 9 more cases were reported from West.

Murad Ali Shah said that during the last 24 hours, 9273 samples of coronavirus were tested, out of which 518 reported positive. In Sindh, the total number of tests conducted by coronavirus in the last 24 hours has reached 1,749,772 while the total number has reached 151,352 after new cases came to light.

According to the Sindh CM, 185 patients recovered from coronavirus during the last 24 hours, after which the number of recovered patients reached close to 141,000. Similarly, three more patients died in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 2,690.

On the other hand, the data released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) states that in the last 24 hours, 1,637 new cases of coronavirus were reported across the country, followed by a total of 1,077 cases. The number reached 346,476. According to the NCOC, 23 patients have died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours across the country, bringing the total number of deaths to 7,000.

In terms of recovering patients, 550 patients have been able to recover in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovered people to 319,431.
