CM Sindh imposes complete ban on movement after 6 pm

Lahore, 27th July: Authorities in Sindh have imposed a complete ban on movement in Karachi after 6 pm in order to control the spread of the deadly Delta variant of COVID-19.
According to details, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has issued instructions to restrict movement in the metropolitan city after 6 pm as the coronavirus positivity rate has crossed over 26% in Karachi.
The Chief Minister gave directions to the Inspector General of Police (IG) Sindh and commissioner Karachi during a meeting of the COVID task force attended by provincial government officials, ministers, Rangers, and other concerned authorities.

Shah issued strict orders to restrict any unnecessary movement in Karachi. He pointed out, “It has come to my knowledge that tuition centers are being operated currently.” He ordered their immediate closure.

Meanwhile, Secretary Health Kazim Jatoi informed that the positivity ratio in Sindh has reached 12.7 percent with Karachi jumping over a ratio of 26.32 percent on July 26.
According to the latest reports by NCOC, a total of 3,262 positive cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours in Pakistan, and 39 people lost their lives.
