COAS, DG ISI meet with Afghan President in Kabul visit

Kabul, June 9th 2020 – Pakistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa, has reached Kabul during his visit to Afghanistan.

According to Afghan media, General Bajwa has reached Kabul where he had a meeting with the Afghanistan President, Ashraf Ghani.

According to Afghan media, Director General (DG) Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed is also accompanying the Army Chief, along with Pakistan’s special envoy to Afghanistan, Muhammad Sadiq.

The delegation led by the COAS is holding a meeting with the Afghan President discussing the bilateral relations and the Afghan reconciliation process.

The Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan was also discussed during the meeting. Issues on the border between the two countries have also been discussed.
