RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Pakistani women have rendered services to enhance the honor and dignity of the nation.
In his message on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said, “Women deserve our immense respect. Women in uniform have done a great service to the nation and humanity”.
“Women in uniform have demonstrated their abilities,” he said. Pakistani women have served to enhance the honor and dignity of the nation.
It should be noted that International Women’s Day is being celebrated all over the world including Pakistan. The aim is to pay tribute to the social, political and economic struggles of women around the globe.
Events in this regard have also been held across Pakistan. Walks, seminars and discussions have been organized by civil society organizations to highlight the issues and challenges facing women.
As a result of the constant struggle and everlasting sacrifices of women, the first International Conference of Women was held in Copenhagen in 1910, which was attended by about 100 women from more than 17 countries.
