Commendable decision by Saudi Government on Worshiping in Masjid al-Haram during Ramadan
Although strict rules and regulations are being imposed on Worshiping in the Masjid al-Haram during Ramadan due to Corona epidemic, the Saudi government has increased the limit on the number of worshipers in Masjid al-Haram during Ramadan.
This decision regarding Ramadan will apply from the first of Ramadan. Umrah pilgrims and worshipers visiting the Grand Mosque will be required to abide by the Saudi government’s precautionary measures to avoid covid-19.
Earlier, the government announced that only those who had been vaccinated against corona will be allowed to perform Umrah in the holy month of Ramadan.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said in a statement that only “security personnel” would be allowed to perform Umrah while praying in the Grand Mosque in the holy city of Makkah. People who received two doses of the corona vaccine, people who had received one dose of the vaccine at least 14 days before the visit, or someone who had recovered from the virus.
The ministry of Hajj and Umrah also stated that they would increase the operational limit of the Masjid al-Haram according to Corona measures and restrictions.
