Commissioner Karachi decides to vacate dilapidated buildings

KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi has decided to vacate illegal structures under construction and dilapidated buildings.

According to details, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shalawani in which representatives of DG SBCA, Abad and Deputy Commissioners participated.

The meeting reviewed the action taken against illegal constructions in the city including Kidney Hill, Royal Park.Commissioner Karachi was given a briefing on illegal buildings and constructions.

On the occasion, Commissioner Karachi said that the dilapidated buildings should be vacated immediately and priority measures are needed to implement the orders of the Supreme Court.

Iftikhar Shalawani said that a report of the operation should be submitted within a week and all the illegal constructions that are under construction in the city would vacate immediately.
