Congratulations Zulfiqar Bukhari on Rawalpindi Scandal Case
NAB launched an investigation against Bukhari NAB in March 2018 involving offshore firms.
A prominent opposition party had accused Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Bukhari of being engaged in the Ring Road scam, claiming that he was one of the road’s realignment’s beneficiaries. According to opposition parties, Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar were also engaged.
On the 17th of May 2021, Bukhari resigned from his position. He said in a series of tweets that he resigned to set an example because the Prime Minister “has always emphasized that if a person has been identified correctly or incorrectly in any inquiry, he should stop to hold any public position until his name has been cleared of allegations.”
According to the Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment, Buzdar, Bukhari, and Sarwar were handed clean chits on Wednesday. #CongratsZulfiqarBukhari began trending on Twitter on Thursday, July 15 as his ardent admirers applauded him.
Some pointed out the inequity of the case, which should have been “closed and shut” but was nevertheless pursued due to media manipulation against Bukhari.
Others said Bukhari carried on the Prime Minister’s mission, was a true soldier, and set “high standards” by leaving on moral grounds.
Bukhari has also been praised for his tireless efforts on behalf of Pakistanis living abroad, according to several sources.
Congratulations to Zulfiqar Bukhari for no corruption’s in the Rawalpindi Scandal or any other. NAB said that he is free of corruption and he can fly back to overseas.
