Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrested
Mumbai, 1st October: Rahul Gandhi, the leader of India’s opposition party Congress, has been arrested by the police.
According to reports, Rahul Gandhi was going to Hathras with his sister Priyanka Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi was going to visit the family of the gang-raped girl in Uttar Pradesh who died in a hospital in Delhi.
As per reports, Rahul Gandhi was arrested by the police from Yamuna Expressway and on asking why he was being arrested, instead of responding, the police pushed him and threw him to the ground.

Rahul Gandhi said that the police pushed him, beat him with sticks and threw him on the ground. He asked whether only Modiji has the right to walk in this country. Ordinary people like us can’t walk?
It is to be noted that the victim of gang rape in Hathras died at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi on Tuesday, after which the Hathras district administration, despite the opposition of the family, paid their last rites at around 2.30 pm on Wednesday.
The Congress had staged a statewide protest on Wednesday in protest. Priyanka Gandhi spoke to the victim’s family on the phone. On Thursday, Priyanka and Rahul had gone with their convoy to Hathras to meet the victim’s family but their convoy was stopped by the police. After which they set out on foot for Hathras. Police later arrested him
