According to the National Command & Operation Center (NCOC), 42 more deaths and 3,876 new cases have been reported in Pakistan. The total number of deaths from corona in Pakistan has reached 13,799. The total number of affected people has reached 623,135.

According to the NCOC, the number of corona active cases in Pakistan is 29,576. Meanwhile, 579,760 people have recovered since the outbreak. 5,944 people have lost their lives in Punjab due to Corona, 4,478 in Sindh, 2,202 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 539 in Islamabad, 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 203 in Balochistan and 330 in Azad Kashmir.

According to the NCOC, the number of corona cases in Islamabad is reported to be 50,843, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa it is78,653, in Sindh it is 262,796, in Punjab it is 1,95,087, in Balochistan it is 19,306 and in Azad Kashmir it is 11,483, and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4,967 people have been infected with corona. Meanwhile, Corona vaccination is underway in Pakistan and in the second phase, people over the age of 60 are administered the vaccine.

Following the new wave of corona virus, smart lockdown has been imposed in 7 cities of Punjab till March 29th. New restrictions have also been imposed in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala and Gujarat. Additionally, markets and bazaars have been ordered to close by 5 pm till March 29th, with full shutters down on Saturdays and Sundays.

Moreover, amusement parks and other parks will also be closed by 6 p.m. Cinema halls, theaters, marriage halls, community centers and marquees are completely closed, only open spaces will be allowed to function, with no more than 300 people attending. Only takeaways are allowed in restaurants and cafes, while medical services, petrol pumps, and grocery stores will be open 24 hours a day. Only 50% of staff in public and private offices are allowed to call.
