Baaghi TV has learnt that during the third wave of COVID-19, cases continue to rise across Pakistan with 100 deaths confirmed in the last 24-hours.
According to reports, the National Command & Operation Center (NCOC) has confirmed 4,084 new cases with a 11% increase in the positivity ratio. Meanwhile, the mortality rate is reported to be at 14,356 deaths as the number of affected people is confirmed to be 663,200.
According to reports, out of 100 deaths reported during the last 24-hours, 92 deaths were in-hospital while, 8 patients lost their lives outside of the hospital.
The number of active cases is 48,566 meanwhile, 6,278 patients have recovered since the outbreak last year. However, 3,170 patients are reported to be in critical condition according to the NCOC.
According to reports, Federal Minister Asad Umar in a press conference said, that the cases of Corona virus are on the rise so, the people should be sure to follow SOPs otherwise it would be difficult to control the situation.
Moreover, the government has put in place stricter sanctions to help curb the spread.
