Corona spreading at alarming rate, 70 more died in 24 hours

According to a Baaghi TV report, the second wave of Covid-19 is spreading at very alarming rate. The number of patients and deaths are continuously increasing.

According to the latest figures released by the NCOC, 70 more people have died in Pakistan due to the corona virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 9,080. In the last 24 hours, 2,545 new cases have been reported in the country and the total number has risen to 448,522. In Pakistan, 396,591 patients of Corona have recovered and 42,851 are undergoing treatment.

The highest number of deaths were reported in Punjab where 3,491 people have lost their lives while 3,237 in Sindh, 1,502 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 381 in Islamabad, 99 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 176 in Balochistan whereas 194 people have lost their lives in Azad Kashmir.

The number of corona cases in Islamabad is 35,441, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 53,609, in Sindh 1,99,706, in Punjab 1,29,291, in Balochistan 17,838, in Azad Kashmir 7,833 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4 A total of 804 people have been infected with corona. The rate of positive cases of corona virus has risen to 7.12% across the country. Karachi Corona positive case rate is 19.89%.

According to the NCOC, the rate of positive cases in Hyderabad was 22.45%. It has risen to 9.4% in Azad Kashmir, 14.2% in Balochistan, 0.5% in Gilgit-Baltistan, 4.3% in Islamabad, 7.2% in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 14.9% in Sindh.

Special Assistant for Health Dr. Faisal Sultan said, “the second wave of corona virus has gradually started in Pakistan. To deal with the second wave, SOPs will have to be strictly adhered to. By taking precautions, we can deal with another wave of corona.”
