Corona virus kills 22 more and leads to more than a thousand new cases

Twenty-two more deaths and 1,592 new cases have been reported in Pakistan Due to the global corona virus pandemic, according to Baaghi TV reports.

According to the National Command and Control Center (NCOC), the total number of deaths from corona in Pakistan reached 13,227. The total number of affected people has reached 592,100. The number of active cases across the country is 18,415. Meanwhile, 560,458 people have recovered so far.

The highest number of deaths due to corona has occurred in Punjab where 5,565 people have lost their lives. While 4,426 people have lost their lives in Sindh, 2,113 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 509 in Islamabad, 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 201 in Balochistan and 311 in Azad Kashmir.

The number of corona cases in Islamabad is 45,740, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is 74,027, Sindh is 259,855, Punjab is 177,823, Balochistan is 19,117, Azad Kashmir is 10,579 and Gilgit-Baltistanis 4,959.

Corona vaccination is underway in Pakistan and in the first phase, corona vaccine is being given to health workers. Vaccination has also been started for people above 63 years of age. Adult vaccination centers have been set up across the country and the entire vaccination process will be controlled by digital mechanisms.

For the first phase of vaccination, 189 centers have been set up in Punjab and 14 in Sindh. While 280 vaccination centers have been set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 44 in Balochistan and 14 in Islamabad. Vaccination will be carried out through 25 centers in Azad Kashmir and 16 centers in Gilgit-Baltistan.
