Corona virus kills 5,320 people in Pakistan: Report

Baaghi TV: 5,320 people have died and 253,604 people have been infected with the corona virus in Pakistan while 170,656 people have succumbed to the disease.

In the last 24 hours, 50 people have died from the corona virus and 1,979 new cases have been reported, according to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center. Yesterday 21,020 tests were done and so far a total of 1,66,190 tests have been done.

The number of corona cases in Sindh has reached one lakh 6 thousand 622. In Punjab the corona cases are 87,492, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 90,747, Balochistan 11 Pazar 192, Islamabad 14,202, Azad Kashmir 1,655 and 1,694 corona cases have been reported in Gilgit-Baltistan.

2,026 deaths have been reported in Punjab due to Corona virus. One thousand 826 patients died in Sindh, one thousand 106 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 155 in Islamabad, 126 in Balochistan, 36 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 45 in Azad Kashmir.

According to the data released by NCOC, 8,929 coronet tests have been performed in Sindh during the last 24 hours. 7,375 tests were conducted in Punjab, 2,098 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,015 in Islamabad, 204 in Balochistan, 62 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 337 in Azad Kashmir.

There are facilities for corona patients in 733 hospitals across the country and currently 4,000 corona patients are admitted in hospitals. There are 1,820 ventilators available for corona patients across the country and currently 362 corona patients are on ventilators.

The number of people recovering from corona in Pakistan is more than active cases and so far 161,917 corona victims have recovered. The number of active cases of Corona in Pakistan at present is 84,442.

Corona testing capacity in the country has exceeded 60,000 per day. And 132 testing laboratories are working. One thousand 525 ventilators are allocated for corona patients. Trace, test and quarantine strategies are working effectively in 30 cities.

The first case of corona in Pakistan was registered on February 26 and one thousand deaths occurred by May 21. The Ministry of Health says that initially the growth rate of cases was slow but now it is increasing rapidly.
