Corona Virus updates in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (6th March): National Command & Operation Centre updates on the COVID-19 situation in  Pakistan.
During last 24 hours most deaths occurred in Punjab followed by Sindh. Out of 38 deaths during last 24 hours 12 died on ventilators. 1714 people  tested covid positive on 5 Mar, while 38 people lost lives due to covid during last 24 hours.

The percentage of Ventilators occupied in 4 major areas are reported as 34% in Lahore, 32% in Islamabad, 21% in Peshawar and 17% in Multan, whereas the percentage of Oxygen beds occupied in 4 major areas are reported to be 94% in Gujrat,  38% in Peshawar, 30% in Multan and 26% in Islamabad.

Total Active COVID CASES in Pakistan 17,352 as of 6 Mar based on 38,200 tests conducted on 5 Mar are reported as 9,872 in Sindh, 15,687 in Punjab, 6,973 in KP, 4,059 in ICT, 596 in Balochistan, 317 in GB and 696 in AJK.

558,210 People have recovered so far across Pakistan making it a significant count. There is no patient on ventilators in AJK,GB & Balochistan while 210 vents are occupied in other areas across Pakistan.

A total of 588,728 cases have been detected so far, including 10464 from AJK, 19106 from Balochistan, 4958 from GB, 45329 from ICT, 73515 from KP, 175964 from Punjab and 259392 from Sindh.

The overall death toll of COVID-19 has reached 13166 with 4411 deaths in Sindh (6 died in hospital on 5 Mar), 5534 in Punjab (24 died in hospital on 5 Mar), 2104 in KP (5 died in hospital on 5 Mar), 506 in ICT (2 died in hospital on 5 Mar), 200 in Balochistan, 102 in GB, and 309 in AJK (1 died in hospital on 5 Mar).

A total of 9,173,593 tests were conducted overall, with 631 hospitals having covid facilities and 2,002 patients admitted across the country.
