Coronavirus: Facial masks become rare
Lahore, 28th Feb: According to the reports of Baaghi TV, the facial masks, required to wear against protection from any type of virus, become a rare commodity in Lahore.
Suddenly, there is a shortage of the A-category facial masks in Lahore medical stores and the price of a special mask, N95 has increased up to 200%, the highest seen up till now.
Due to the out break of coronavirus globally, the rate of facial masks is seen rising with its increasing demand by the public and Pakistan is no less among such places.
The agents in Lahore and Karachi, who are producing and selling such masks are seen taking advantage of this situation and has risen the prices to their extreme. The price of the A-category mask has risen from Rs. 400 to Rs. 650 all of a sudden, the B-category mask has jumped from Rs. 100 to Rs. 300 and the price of a normal mask is now Rs. 10, increased from Rs. 5.
People are worried over this situation, even the hospital workers have to face the shortage and they are unable to work diligently and are showing concern over these circumstances.

However, the Punjab and Sindh Governments are rigorously striving to keep the situation under control and not to create panic.
They have created help lines and centers with the collaboration of World Health Organization, and are creating awareness among the public, on how to handle this disease, but the shortage of the masks and their increasing prices is creating anxiety among people.
Baaghi TV urges the government to look in to this matter seriously and make the availability of the facial masks within the affordable price.
