Lahore, 28th Feb: According to the reports of Baaghi TV, Iran’s first ambassador to Vatican, 81-year old cleric Hadi Khosroshahi, has died of coronavirus.
Iran’s ex ambassador Khosroshahi, was residing in the holy city of Qom, he was a black-turbaned cleric carrying the title of “Sayyid,” meaning a descendent of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Khosroshahi was transferred to a hospital in Tehran on Wednesday and tested positive for Covid-19. A day later, he died of respiratory complications.
Iran is under a lot of stress, as two of their ministers have contracted coronavirus in the last three days.
Their Deputy Health Minister, Iraj Harirchi was tested positive three days back and yesterday, their Minister for Women and Family Affairs, Ms Masoumeh Ebtekar also contracted coronavirus.

Both these ministers are treated and isolated at their respective homes and are hopeful for their safe recovery.
Earlier in the day, Iran put the death toll in the country from the coronavirus to 26, with 245 confirmed cases. Iran has the second most highest death rate due to coronavirus, after China.
The global death toll is nearly 2,800, and China, where the outbreak originated, is the worst hit, with more than 78,000 cases and over 2,700 fatalities.
