Coronavirus: Rise in the tally and 54 deaths in Pakistan

Lahore, 7th April: The coronavirus that originated from Wuhan, China is continuing to spread across the world with its deadly consequences.

There is a continuous spike in the affected patients in Pakistan, the total number reaching up to 3,864 and the death count has risen to 54 so far.

According to reports from the National Command and Operation Centre, updated Tuesday morning, the number of confirmed patients in the last 24 hours in Pakistan was 577, bringing the total tally to 3,864.

The number of affectees has also risen in each province, the toll province wise is as follow:

The Punjab Province is still under the clouds with the highest number of 1,918 confirmed patients. There are 932 confirmed cases in Sindh, 500 in KP, 211 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 202 in Balochistan, 83 cases in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), and 18 cases in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

It has been reported by the health authorities that 59% of cases in the country are the people coming from other countries, however, 41% is the locally transmitted virus.

The health officials have been successful in recovering 429 of the infected people so far.

With the addition of 4 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has reached up to 54 in Pakistan.
The number of 17 deaths reported in Sindh and KP has outnumbered the other provinces. There are 15 deaths reported in Punjab, 3 have died in Gilgit-Baltistan so far and 1 each death in Islamabad and Balochistan.

According to Health Officials, 3,088 coronavirus tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours with a total of 39,183 tests done so far.

There are 462 hospitals with COVID-19 facilities with isolation centres, having 7,295 beds for the affected patients. At present, there are 1,311 coronavirus patients hospitalized and 28 of them are in critical condition.

There are 328 quarantine centres built in the country with 16,737 COVID-19 patients quarantined at the moment.
