Coronavirus: Toll in Punjab increased to 1,069
Lahore, 3rd April: Reportedly there is an increase in the number of coronavirus patients in Pakistan with the toll in Punjab increasing than the Sindh province.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, there is a surge in the number of confirmed patients in Punjab, with the addition of 57 more cases, the total toll has reached 1,069 in Punjab.
As per the reports, there are 27 new cases of coronavirus in Raiwind quarantine, so the total number of confirmed cases has reached 251 in Raiwind where the people from the Tableeghi Jamaat are kept in quarantine.
5 more cases of COVID-19 have been reported among the citizens of Lahore and the number has increased to 210. There are 3 prisoners tested positive in Lahore Camp Jail too.
Coronavirus: Pakistan Lockdown extended till April 14
1 confirmed case has also been found in Sheikhupura and Gujranwala each. There is reportedly an addition of a confirmed patient in Jhelum, raising the toll to 29 in the city.
The number of People testing positive in Gujrat has reached 95, after the confirmation of 4 new cases. The toll in Sialkot has increased to 2 now and 10 more cases are registered in Vehari. The number in Rahim Yar Khan has increased up to 5, by the addition of 2 new cases. In Chiniot, the first case has also been registered.
Pandemic and dip in the Showbiz Industry
According to the Primary and Secondary Health department, there are reported 11 deaths from Punjab so far and 126 people have also recovered from the pandemic in the country.
Punjab is under a lockdown till the 14th of April and the CM Punjab, Usman Buzdar has issued an order to close down the grocery stores and fruit and vegetable shops till 5 pm. However, pharmacies and medical stores are exempted from this restriction.
