Coronavirus: Zero deaths recorded in Spain in the past week

It has been almost a week since any new deaths from the corona virus have been reported in Spain. The total number of deaths from the virus in Spain is currently 27,136.

Fernando Summons, the health ministry’s emergency coordinator, acknowledged last week that no new deaths had been reported due to discrepancies in the country’s death toll. He said the technical error in the death toll was due to local authorities.

Spain has devised a new method of collecting data since May 25. With the adoption of the new method, the number of deaths is no longer increasing.
