July 20, 2021: Latest intelligence reports suggest the country is under imminent threat of possible terrorist activities, particularly in the coming days.

To this end, Prime Minister Imran Khan has called the country’s senior military leadership and heads of counter terrorism forces to asses the threat and make plans to deal with any escalation in terms of the security situation. All senior officials and law enforcement institutes are on high alert.

Additionally, the Inspector General of Punjab Police has also cancelled the Eid holidays and leave for all law enforecement personnel in the department. Hospitals across the country have also been alerted to the threat and have been asked to prepare for consequences of any untoward incident. It is to be noted that the deteriorating security situation in the region is likely to impact Pakistan.

IG Punjab Inam Ghani ended the Eid holiday of the entire Punjab Police. Everyone will now be performing duties as per routine.

An emergency meeting of senior military leadership has been called by the PM.
