ISLAMABAD, August 03 (Online Int’l): The Supreme Court while rejecting a damage plea of Rs 13 lac in a land dispute has remarked on what basis the petitioner has claimed Rs 13 lac when he has not provided a single piece of evidence in respect of his expenses and the court decides the case on the basis of evidence.
The court further observed ,”The claimant has said he has paid money to lawyer while he himself has fought the case in all the courts. The court does not decide merely on the basis of saying things. This way any one can say any thing.”
Justice Mushir Alam while addressing the petitioner on one occasion said, “Please take rest in this age. Serve the people. After your death your heirs will pounce upon the money like crows and eagles.”
The petitioner Rasool Bakhsh took the plea that the High Court and Supreme Court gave a decision in his favour in the case of land. I fought the case for 32 years. The decision was given in my favour. I have persuaded the case for 32 years. I incurred heavy expenses.
The court while rejecting the damage claim has wrapped up the case.
