Baaghi TV has learnt that the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has appealed against the release of Sputnik Five Vaccine and contempt of Court.
According to reports, a hearing was held concerning DRAP’s appeal. Attorney DRAP said that a prohibition order has been issued with regard to the Sputnik Five vaccine, adding that it is a matter of public interest and the price is yet to be determined.
Meanwhile, the Sindh High Court questioned when the price will be determined to which the attorney for DRAP stated that the matter of fixing the price is being looked into but the authorities require time to consult with officials of the Federal Government.
According to reports, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar stated that the vaccine can not be sold without signatures of the inspector. Meanwhile, the hearing has been adjourned for a period of two weeks.
According to earlier reports, Federal Minister Asad Umar has cautioned people to take the necessary precautions, to follow SOPs and wear a mask in order to help in curbing the COVID-19 spread.
